Finally, after a month, Lamar Odom has resigned with the Los Angeles Lakers.
After stressful weeks of not knowing what is going to happen and not knowing what is Odom thinking rejecting offers left and right from the Lakers.
Hearing Miami's Dwayne Wade and Pat Riley coming to Los Angeles to trying to recruit Odom.
Lakers fans feed up and did not care to know what Odom decided.
Then today everything went away as ESPN confirms the Lakers and Odom agrees to a 4-year/33M contract.
The deal comes after rumors the Portland Blazers made a 5-year deal to Odom.
A happy day for Lakers fans as they thought of a dynasty and going on another 3-peat is reality.

10 Minutes of Sluaghter
With what was suppose to be a exciting Gold Cup final, turns into a lopsided match in 10 minutes.
The U.S. and México faced off again in the Gold Cup to claim their 5th title.
At the end of the first half both teams were tied at 0-0, as both had even chances of scoring.
México struck first in the second half with a penalty reward to them. The Mexican's Captain Gerardo Torrado took the penalty to put México up 1-0 at the 56' minute.
México was not satisfied with only one goal, as they attacked again at the 62' minute, when Giovani Dos Santos scored off the goalie of U.S.'s block.
Four minutes later, México scored again on an fast break when Carlos Véla scored the third goal for México .
As U.S. lifted up their white flag in surrender, México was up in joy as their fan support cheered on the team and chanted, "Si se puede".
As their could not be anymore goals after three, México scored more.
José Castro scored the Mexicans fourth goal at the 79' minute, and substitute Guillermo Franco put the icing on the cake by scoring the fifth goal at the 90' minute.

Federer makes history once again at Wimbledon
This years Wimbledon surely did not disappoint. It wasn't the Federer-Nadal final we all expected to see ever since Nadal defeated Federer in an amazing final a year ago today, but it truely was amazing in its own way.
This past weekend's Wimbledon final between no. 2 Roger Federer and no. 6 Andy Roddick showed us what true champions are made of. Just watching them go back and forth in the final set shows how much each of them really wanted this title. It finally took 30 games in the fifth set to declare Federer the champion winning it 16-14.
Both of these athletes had much to play for this year. Of course with no. 1 Rafael Nadal out out of the tournament (Knee tendinitis) the trophy was just that much closer. Both of them enjoy playing on Wimbledon's grass court with Roddick reaching the finals there several times and Federer winning Wimbledon 5 consecutive times from 2003-2007.
Roddick who perhaps is playing the best tennis since he won the U.S. Open in 2003 has never defeated Federer in a grand slam final while Federer has defeated Roddick at Wimbledon in the finals in 2004 and 2005 and also at the U.S. Open final in 2006.
Going into the French open this year, Federer was just one championship short of tying Pete Sampras' record of 14 major titles. After being defeated by Nadal at Wimbledon last year and having his heart broken while being left in tears at this year's Australian Open, also at the hands of Nadal, who in the process took Federers title of no. 1 in the world, left many of us wondering if he would ever break the record.
With Nadal going out in the fourth round of the French, all the pressure was on Federer. With Nadal out, Federer was clearly the favorite to win. Federer did not disappoint, winning his first ever French open and tying Sampras' record.
Then came Wimbledon. With Nadal out, this was Federer's time to make history.
He made it easily to the finals only dropping a few sets along the way. Then came the finals match against America's hero, Andy Roddick.
Roddick started off in command winning the first set. Federer then struck back by winning the second and third sets. Facing elimination, Roddick came back to force a fifth and final set. Having to win by two games, neither of these players refused to go down without a fight. This all led to a finals record 16-14 set win for Federer.
Federer had finally broken the record. After losing two straight finals to Nadal and possibly hope of ever achieving something as great as this, Federer is now at the top with 15 career grand slam titles.
Federer has now passed some of the greats like Pete Sampras, Rod Laver and Bjorn Borg, whom by the way, were there watching him from the Royal Box.
So what does this mean for Federer? It means he is now at the top. No more discussions about if he is the best. When he tied Sampras, he was questioned whether he was the best. He's now past Sampras and he'll only be 28 years old next month. Sampras won his 14Th in 2002 when he was 31 years old.
Another great thing that happened this past weekend was the reemergence of another young superstar. Roddick, who has been known recently for falling early in grand slams to other players who are almost nobodies, showed great dedication this tournament making it to the final for the first time since 2005, when he also lost to Federer.
Roddick had an impressive five set win in the quarterfinals against Lleyton Hewitt, who won Wimbledon in 2002. Roddick then stunned everyone when he eliminated Britain's own Andy Murry in the semifinals. Murry was the hometown player and England has been waiting for one of their own to conquer Wimbledon since Fred Perry back in 1936. Roddick defeated Murry in four sets against a crowd of 15,000 who hoped it would have ended differently.
Roddick then took Federer all the way to five sets. His loss at the 2004 Wimbledon Final against Federer went four sets, and in 2005, only went three.
It wasn't the fact that Roddick had taken Federer to five sets that was so impressive. It was the way the fifth set played out. Roddick was down most of the set but always found a way to come back. Roger would win a set and then Roddick would come back and tie it. This occured all the way until Federer finally finished him off 16-14.
Roddick's serves were too powerful for Federer to return, going over 130 mph. Roddick also finally decided to play some defense, something he has been criticized over the past couple of years. If you have ever seen Federer play, you know it takes great defense to keep up. But as well as his defense and his serves might have been, the great ones always know how to finish it off.
Federer now has his 15th title, as well as his no. 1 world ranking back. He did it in his favorite place to play, he did it amongst the greats and things are only looking up for Federer. He will be a father in a few months, and the next major is the U.S. open, which federer has won every year since 2004.

Jack, 'HERE'S RONNIEEE!'
Just as the Lakers seem like they couldn't get better. They just got better!
Not official but in verbal agreement, the Los Angeles Lakers and Forward Ron Artest have agreed to a three year/ $18 million contract.
From going to greatness to near perfect the Lakers have improve dramatically in both defense and offense but mostly defensively.
Artest minus his negative actions, is a beast and warrior like his friend Kobe Bryant.
Adding both of them is insane, both of them love to win, love to defend the other teams best player and love playing basketball.
Artest, hands down best defensive players in the league. The guy can lock you down and make it so hard for you to get a shot up.
Then on the other end, he can make you pay from the three point line as he is a consistent shooter from beyond the arc.
I cannot see why people are calling this move a bad one. Can you not complain you have stoled a great all-star who is still in his prime and getting him for a cheap prize.
Phil Jackson knows how to treat a guy like Artest, as he showed it with Dennis Rodman in Chicago. Also have Bryant to keep him down, I have no worries that this guy will blow up and try missing up the team.
Trevor Ariza was playing hard ball, thanks to his agents smart moves. Ariza is going to be kicking his behind as he basically accepted a offer from a team that is falling apart with injuries because he felt the same offer the Lakers offered him was disrespecting him in some way us Lakers fans can't explain,
Ariza is a really douche bag who really made the mistake on himself, and really mad that the Lakers had no problem replacing him quickly and with better talent.
I love his move by the Lakers and believe Los Angeles is prepared to be winning NBA championships in the years to come. It will never get old but be more exciting seeing how the Lakers keep moving a step ahead of their competition.

Brazil, not giving up
The USA with all the upsets and ubelieveable luck headed into the FIFA Confederation Finals with a mindset of, "We have nothing to lose, all the pressure is on Brazil."
Well it turned out to be that was true, the U..S came out looking to put pressure on Brazil as they striked in the first 10 minutes going up 1-0.
At the 27th minute, the U.S. struck again with a Landon Donovan goal.
Heading into the halftime up 2-0, U.S. finally looked like they were a legit team that you had to give respect to.
Without hesitation Brazil came into the second half and scoring quickly in the first minute of playing.
Up 2-1, the the U.S. looked like they were loosing momentum of the game.
20 minutes later, Luis Fabinano scores his second goal of the game for brazil, tying the game.
With a 2-2 tie, U.S. lost all the momentum and looked very nervous as game continued.
As the game had 15 minutes left, Brazil scored their third goal in the second half off a corner kick.
Overall, U.S. looked so good in the first half, limiting Brazil's shot on goals and keeping Brazil's defense busy with their two goals.
Brazil never gave up at any second of the game, coming in the second half to score a quick one, after that first goal for Brazil, U.S. lost the game. I felt like Brazil regain their confidence and took over the game and played their game.
U.S has surpised many countries now, going into the FIFA World Cup next year, I think U.S. will be recieving respect from these teams like: Italy, Germany, Brazil and Spain.
Congratulations USA, you guys made a great run in the confederation cup even though people gave you guys no chance, including myself. You have gained much respect from the world and of your nation.

Shaq to mess up another franchise
Cleveland just pushed the panic button to land the Shaquille O'Neal.
Now, what in the hell do they think this guy is its missing piece?
I do not believe O'Neal will push this weak Cleveland team over the hump. I still see them having trouble against the Magic, Celtics and Lakers.
This team is no where near being a championship team better yet they set themselves back a few steps by making this trade.
Like what happen to the Phoenix Suns, thinking O'Neal is that dominate/defensive player he was back in his Lakers days are way long gone.
All this guy will be doing is clogging up the paint so that "LeBrick" James cannot drive in and has to be focus to take a outside jumper where he needs major improvement in.
Anyhow I believe this is a really stupid desprate last plea from the Cavaliers to LeBrick to stay a Cav passed next year.

Great soccer playing
Wow! Where should I start.
Crazy day in the FIFA confederation qualifications in group B.
Okay let me set you guys up on the situations, Brazil was undefeated beating U.S. and Egypt so all they need was to play their last game and no matter the result they where in the next round.
Italy, beat the U.S. and lost a shocker to Egypt, so they had to win or tie their game and score one goal to advance.
Egypt, they had a one goal lead against Italy, if Italy lost, all Egypt had to do is hold off U.S even if they lost but if they lost it couldn't be more then two goals.
U.S., with TWO losses! Had ZERO chance of advancing going in today. They needed major help from Brazil and had to win their game against Egypt big time!
So what ended up happening today, Brazil beats Italy 3-0. U.S. beats Egypt 3-0, what does that mean?
U.S. advances with the odds against them!
Breaking down the games, Brazil came out very strong using their quick speed to put in two goals from Luis Fabiano and a own goal from Italy.
The U.S. took a 1-0 lead in the first from Charlie Davies, then two more in the second half.
So now the semifinals are set, Wendesday it will be Spain vs. U.S. at 2:25 p.m. EST and Brazil vs. South Africa on Thursday at 2:25 p.m. EST.
I predict Spain vs. Brazil in the finals, it's hard to pick for either team because I love both but all I know is that it will be an exciting match.
