How 'bout them Cowboys...not

Congratulations Jerry Jones, you finally won a game in that 73 acre colossus of a stadium your team now calls home.

Too bad it isn't going to mean much when it comes to the post season. With that anointed All-star quarterback, who doesn't even know what post season success tastes like, your team is destined to repeat itself yet another year.

Sure, them boy's are 2-1 right now, but it hasn't been very impressive. Sure in week one Jessica Simpson's ex had a nice game throwing for over 300 yards, but it was against the Bucs, the most likely candidate to be this year's Detroit Lions.

And sure they won Monday night, but this was not the same Carolina team we saw just a season ago.

The Cowboys entered Mondays game ranked 30th overall in defense, and how does the saying go? oh yea, "Defense wins games".

Does Jones know his team's only recorded three sacks all season, none coming from their all pro defensive back DeMarcus Ware?

This futile defense is only hurting the offense even more. When the Cowboys decided to release the only player capable of making plays and put Roy Williams as their star wide-out, we all figured this was going to be a run first team.

Unfortunately for Dallas, Marion Barber went down last week with the hamstring injury and just last night back-up Felix Jones suffered a strained knee.
Barber should be back next week when Dallas visits undefeated Denver, but hamstring injuries are prone to pop up again.

So will Dallas make the playoffs this year..I say umm....NO.
Why not you ask?

Well, for one, everything I just mentioned. Two, whoever created the schedules must not be too kind of Jerry Jones, or the team for that matter.

The fact that they play in the NFC East doesn't help either. They still have to face an undefeated New York team, and when I say undefeated New York team, I'm talking about the Giants, in Giant's Stadium.

They also have two games against their hated rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, with the first game being played at Philly on Nov. 8. Donovan McNabb should be healthy by then, if not, then I guess they'll just have to go to Kevin Kolb, who only threw for over 300 yards in his past two games.

If Kolb doesn't work out, then hey, just dust off Jeff Garcia who's resting on the bench.
And if a Garcia's a no-go then, i think they have this one guy named Mike Vick or something.
And if getting through their division isn't hard enough, then I'm sure they'll enjoy a few games against Atlanta, San Diego, Green Bay, and New Orleans.

It's going to be tough to get into the playoffs as an NFC team this year, you'll probably have to win 11 games just to make a wild card spot and I don't see Dallas reaching ten.

So Jerry, you can build yourself a championship stadium, too bad you can't build yourself a championship team.
